The honest truth

The part nobody talks about when planning a family trip

Planning a family holiday sounds simple — until you realise everyone is hoping for a different trip.

Your parents want comfort.
Your kids want fun.
Your grandparents need the pace to be slower.
And somehow, every meal still has to suit everyone.

So you start planning. You compare hotels, check transport, search attractions, read reviews, plan the route, think about food, worry about walking distance, and try to make sure nobody feels left out.

But even after spending hours on it, you still wonder:

“Will my parents be too tired?”
“Will the kids be bored?”
“Will the food suit everyone?”
“Is this itinerary too rushed?”
“Am I missing something important?”

And when the trip isn't planned properly, the holiday becomes the very thing you were trying to avoid — the kids complain there's nothing fun, the older ones feel rushed and exhausted, mealtimes turn stressful, transport gets messy, and you end up managing everyone instead of enjoying the trip with them.

A family holiday should not feel like another project to manage.

That's why we help plan the Vietnam trip around your family — the pace, food, transport, activities and route — so everyone has something to enjoy, and you don't have to carry the whole trip on your own.

Three Pomi Travels tour guides in Hoi An, Vietnam
Private vs group · the real difference

A private tour bends around your family — not the other way round

On a group coach tour, forty strangers set the pace, the stops and the mealtimes. On a private tour, your family is the only itinerary that matters — so the day flexes around naps, knees, appetites and attention spans, never a fixed schedule.

Family travel questions

Every family package is fully private. You travel only with your own family and your own guide and driver, no joining a coach of strangers, no fixed pace. The per-person price simply drops as your group gets bigger.
Yes. That mixed group is exactly what private touring is built for. We slow the pace, keep drives short, pick lift-access hotels, build in rest time, and skip anything too strenuous. Tell us the ages and we will shape the days around them.
Yes. Children aged 4–9 are priced lower, with a further reduction if they share a bed rather than take an extra one. Infants are usually free. Exact child rates are shown when we send your itinerary.
Yes. We can arrange a Chinese-speaking guide on the ground and send a Chinese-language itinerary PDF you can forward to your parents on WhatsApp. Just ask when you enquire.
